Cookie policy
Last updated 20 August 2026
Simgen uses very few cookies, and none of them are for advertising or tracking you across other sites. Here's exactly what we set and why.
Cookies we use
Authentication. When you sign in, our authentication provider (Clerk) sets a cookie to keep you signed in and to identify which workspace you're working in. Without it, you'd have to log in again on every page.
Theme preference. A small first-party cookie remembers whether you've chosen light or dark mode, so the site doesn't flash the wrong theme on your next visit.
What we don't use
Simgen doesn't use Google Analytics, advertising cookies, or any third-party tracking or retargeting scripts. If that changes in the future, this page will be updated first, and we'll only do so in a way that respects the choices browsers and regulations give you.
The embeddable widget
The widget a business embeds on their own site doesn't set cookies on that visitor's behalf. It only stores the photo and details a visitor chooses to submit, handled as described in our privacy policy.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking the authentication cookie will sign you out and prevent you from staying logged in.
Changes to this policy
If what we use changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
